Well, someone there blessed us with a Lexmark printer that has been WONDERFUL for printing our pictures! Thank you so much! Our photo albums are filling and I've got a ton of photos to use in our scrapbooks now!! I sincerely appreciate the time, effort and money involved in 'adopting' me and the other gals from this board/group and I truly hope that I will be in the position next year to become one of Anjie's elves so that I can do something this nice for another member! Thanks again so much and I'm sorry it's taken so! long to write my thank you. I've been sick with the pregnancy, bronchitis and a cold and just don't feel very well. Thanks again!!!

have my wish granted! I could not believe all the kindness shown to me
from complete strangers, from all corners of the USA! Thanks to all the
elves with big hearts, I now have all I need (and more) to knit and knit
and knit! My husband asked what I was going to do with all the yarn I
got, and I just smiled, because when someone is kind to you, you want to
pass that kindness on! I am going to knit some newborn hats to donate to
our local hospital, and also will knit some poncho's to donate to the
Pediatric Oncology Clinic where my daughter is seen also. These poor
children have to sit for hours while they get their chemo treatments, and
often are cold. Poncho's work well because they can be put on and taken
off without worry of their IV lines. Anyways, thank you from the bottom
of my heart for all the generosity poured out on me, and for making my
Christmas bright! I do believe in Santa!

had not one but two beautiful caring elves. I had two presents to open
on Christmas morning. One was a CD player and one was a tape player so
that I can not only listen to my books on tape while hand sewing but was
just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 days before Christmas and
given some new exercises to do to music and the CD player will allow me
to do that also. THANK YOU BOTH A MILLION TIMES OVER. You have no idea
how happy you have made me. So far I have completed a 5x7 cross stitch
kitten for my daughter and a "good luck" piece for my son's Oriental
girlfriend's new home. The batteries and the candles made everything so
much brighter and easier.
May God bless both of you and give back to you a thousandfold what you
gave to me. I am still glowing with happiness.

I received cookie cutters (my boys and I made all kinds of sugar cookies with them as we wondered about the elf that sent them, and where they were from and if they made cookies too, and! so on, it was such special time together) cooling racks, and lovely stationary and note cards (I have written to my friends and family on, making their day by sending a surprise “Hello”), and SOCKS!
I was so thrilled with everything!
I am very happy to report I have washed several loads of laundry since Christmas and thanks to my friends, the elves, I have socks that go in and come out of the washing machine! My poor cold feet thank you too, they are so warm and cozy now! May the bounty of blessings and love you have touched my heart with (and that of my family) find its way back to you tenfold.

Thank You soooo much for making my wish come true. I had ask to help send
a box to a soldier that I try to help in Iraq but because of my husband
having surgery I was not able to send one for xmas. But I got an angel that
was kind enough to send one for me and even put my name and address on the
box. But the biggest surprise was when a box arrived for me. Inside was the
nicest card and gift that made me smile and cry all at the same time.I will
always remember this xmas when an angel made my soldier and myself very

Right away I knew it must have been from you. I took it home and stared
at it for 2 days, I just couldn't wait any longer. I tore it open and it
was the flannel pj's I asked for ,red and white checked, just like yours
I bet. I love them. They are so warm. Then on the 26th I checked my mail
and got a pair of muk luk house shoes.I LOVE THESE. I had never heard of
them. They are so cool. I have gotta get me some more of these. This was
one of the best Christmas I have had in years. Thank You so much Santa,

want to thank Elf Jelma Ge and
Elf Janada S for
answering my santa request for
stamps.
My forced career move has left my
husband and I in dire straights
financially, and it was really bad
this past month since I added
items for my children and
grandchild to our budget. It
made it very difficult to consider
where the money would come from to
buy stamps for my cards, notes and
pkgs. to the service men and
women.
And a tragedy happened to a
special family in my life the week
before Christmas. Pati,
a mom of 3 young boys was killed
on her mail route, I spent a
lot of time between work and my
home while trying to find ways to
make the Christmas for the
children something other than
another day without their mom.
I don't think I succeeded of
course, but I do hope I gave them
something to remember other than
their tragedy. The children
have already been taken 1500 miles
away to live with their father.
I won't know at all if the items I
sent were even received or helped
in any way to get through the day.
So the grandparents whom they've
all lived with for the past year
have not only lost their daughter,
they've now lost their grandsons.
A horrendous week to say the
least.
My own family 'celebration' was
tarnished with one of my children
not being with us, and it brought
our year to a close the way it
started last year, not knowing if
he is well, safe or even alive.
It brings to heart the reason for
my request, and the appreciation
to Janada and Jelma
for helping me continue to try to
help others get through their days
with even the slightest bit of
sunshine.
I can't do a thing for my
son other than to always be here
if he decides to get help, I can't
do a thing for the family who will
always have an empty hole in their
hearts missing Pati, I can't
insure that the youngest boy (just
turned 5) will even remember her
over the course of his life, but I
can try to make a difference in
the day of a GI serving our
country in some far off place,
away from his family and loved
ones.

holding the spirit of Christmas in
your hearts.

Wow, what a surprise!! I didn't expect anything from Santa
because my wishes were too much, or so I thought. But, the
"Cajun Elf" really got me. I had asked for, amongst other things,
prayers and some "magic dust". Well, I opened my package and
found a wand. Imagine my surprise. Thank you "Cajun Elf". I
plan to repackage and send to my Dad. He should get a big kick
out of it. Happy New Year.
(By the way, I have managed to reach one of my "goals". Maybe
if I wave the wand just right, I'll be able to accomplish the other
one too.)

WOW....I was sure surprised when a package came for me with 3 of my favorite Bath and Body Lotions "Winter Candy Apple" and a Beautiful card from FLBYU Santa in Tennessee. I just returned from visiting my beautiful grandson in California and
sitting in my living room was this package from Santa, now i really had
forgotten about the santa wish list and when i opened it and saw that is
was my web cam, oh let me tell you what a happy scream came out of my
mouth, the hubby thought i was nuts to say the least. Marshall thank you
so much and you Anjie, you and all your elfs are the greatest.
I will be going back to work tomorrow for the first time in 12 years, oh
my, can we say scary?????? Need to re-learn lots since leaving nursing
many years ago, and not to mention i won't be able to take off when ever
i want to go see the baby so this web cam is going to be the greatest
gift there is, just as soon as i can figure out why it won't work for
me????? Gee, you think i should read ALL the instructions first?????? I
am just so excited to get it up and working.
With the new job comes new hours also, 10 hour days to start, a few extra
re-cert classes to take so being able to come home and just spend a few
minutes on line and seeing the baby every night will just make it that
much more bearable.

now he won't forget his grandma in Arizona.

Hi Anjie! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.I felt so terrible about haveing to refuse the amazing Lions club offer.My husband is 77 & very old fashioned when it comes to "free" help.He would not have wanted someone to come to our home & delve into our personal finances{even though it was for something I needed} My mom would have called it false pride!! I was so sure nothing could be done but as usual you & or your elves came through.On my 65th birthday{Dec,27th],I received a box containing a hearing aid amplifier,with all the trimmings.I will have to wait for my husband to get it ready to wear.I am so excited!!!!!Charlie,my husband is haveing a colonoscopy tomorrow so he is busy sitting on the potty--hee hee.I will let you know how the amplifier works,You & your elves are the best!!! hugs & much love Ruthie

Anjie!!!! Thank you SOOOOOOoooo much!!! I served this delicious wine
at dinner and my guests were thrilled. It was quite wonderful tasting and
so very thoughtful of you.
We made it through the holidays, thanks to the freelancebyu elves who were so
wonderful and cheerful. It was heartwarming to know that they went out of
their way at such a busy time of year to put the magic back in the holidays for
us.
I proudly finished up my last minute errands sporting an adorable Santa pin and
Christmas ornament socks, and my heart was warmed by the beautiful verses I
received and displayed prominently on the mantle. I even had my Christmas
tree livened up by a magnificent, beautifully crafted bright pink ornament from
the bayou.
Thanks again, for everything. Get back to Florida soon so we can get
together. Isn't it time for a freelancer meeting???

I received in the mail from Santa at the North Pole, the most beautiful suede jacket with the warmest, fuzziest, and softest lining ever! I opened it on Christmas morning and it was soooo wonderful to receive something that I didn't have a clue what it was! Further, I thought maybe I'd get a pair of socks or gloves, but my heart jumped when I opened my gift and saw this most gorgeous jacket! Thank you thank you thank you Santa, and your Mrs. Claus, and your elves! I can't tell you how warm and cozy my new jacket is and it fits me like a T! Thank you to Freelancebyu and Anjie too!

I said to my self who could this be from. When I got inside I opened it. It was a 10.00 gift card for walmart, from a freelance elf. Angie and my elf. I want to thankyou it has been a really hard two months and this will help to have a christmas dinner for my son and I .I want to thankyou both. I am sorry I have been unable to write to you before now. Due to a serious medical condition, I was hospitalized on Christmas day, and have been in recovery for the past few weeks. I did receive a package from a very special elf just prior to Christmas, but I was good and waited until Christmas morning to open it. This elf is from Boynton Beach Florida, and has a heart of gold. She sent me a new pair of flannel pajamas with matching slippers, a new robe (heavenly soft), a sweet little bath pillow set from Bath and Body Works that also included a cute little pink rubber ducky and delicious smelling bubble bath. She also included a new set of flannel sheets. I have practically lived in the pajamas, slippers and robe these past weeks, and now for my first night back home, I can't wait to try the bath items and the new sheets are on now on my bed. But there is more. Today, just after I arrived home, my postal carrier came by with another package! Yes, I was blessed with another wonderful elf with a golden heart. This elf is in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The package was postmarked December 15, so I am assuming that it was lost in the mail, but I see that as a blessing. It was a perfect ending to my first day home. Inside this package, I received another set of flannel pajamas, WOW! I was thrilled when I saw them, so soft and cozy, I loved them. Also, there was the best smelling candle inside, it actually made me hungry it smelled so good. And I just cannot wait to start reading the books she included in the package. I will be feeling so spoiled tonight with all of the wonderful new things I have received. Anjie, I have been attempting to write this note to you for several hours now, and keep erasing and starting over. I just cannot seem to express my feelings with words, each time I read over what I have written, it just isn't adequate enough to tell you just how appreciative I am for all that my elves and you have done for me. Just know that I have been touched a thousand times greater by their gestures than what my words are conveying. I am not an overly emotional person, but I cannot seem to stop crying when I think of all that these people who do not even know me, have done for me. It is something that just cannot be expressed with words. I know there will be a special reward for you and all of your elves in Heaven, and I will never forget how you and those two special elves touched my life this Christmas. I am sorry to keep rambling on like this, there is really so much more that I would like to say, but I know how busy you are, so I'll just finish with saying again how very special you and all of FreelanceByU are. Dear Santa Anjie and Her Elves: I had a very blue 2005 and was down in the dumps more than up. I felt I had lost that "Meaning of Christmas" feeling. So I submitted my letter and to my surprise it was selected! My Elf in New Jersey sent me a cross-stitch kit, recipe cards, and a magnetic grocery tablet with little magnets. >From my Cajun Elf in Louisiana, I received a YaYa wand complete with a sparkly star and streamers on it! My family laughed as I ran around with it like a little girl!! It was so appropriate as I had just finished both books-The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood and YaYa's in Bloom. It just made my day!! My Elf in Florida sent star shaped pancake molds, beautiful hand-made note cards, a tiger's eye necklace and earrings set, angel earrings, and a Ladybug clutch pin! I call my daughter "Katie-Bug" so that pin just touched my heart! My Elf in Richmond, VA sent me a whole bunch of bath goodies, bath poof and hand made wash cloth! Santa has sure spoiled me this year, and I owe it all to you!! Big Hugs and Kisses and !!!THANK YOU!!!to all my Santa Elves and you too, Anjie! You truly made my Christmas!! Your wonderful gesture is so appreciated.
I was so surprised to see a card from Santa's helper in my mail box that
I was in tears by the time that I got to the front door. I know I asked for it to use for gas money but
I used it for a wonderful chenille shawl for my mother who, because of health reasons came to live with us last year. We had all decided since it was a financially draining year for all of us that we would just buy presents for the kids. When I saw the shawl I knew that my mother, who is suffering from Parkinson's, would be thrilled with it. I wrapped it up and signed the tag from "An Angel Elf". I cannot tell you how happy you made both of us. She proudly wears that shawl around her shoulders everyday. It makes me smile just seeing her so cozy with it. You have made us both so happy. Thank you to my Elf for sending me a beautiful 4 foot Christmas tree so that I had something to put our gifts under this year. You made our Christmas a very special one! My 4 year old son was especially delighted to help decorate the tree.

I am so appreciative of all the well-wishers/freelancers who took time to send me cards, notes, poems, and even a small gift or two - I even received a nice rustic wind chime from Arizona.
It's so wonderful to know that I am in thoughts and prayers of others who understand about caregiving for ill family members. It was also very nice to get my mail in the days before Christmas -

Dear Santa, Angie and all the elves,
I'm not sure where to start, and I know I can never ever thank each of you enough for the great gifts I have received. It is so nice to have socks and shoes on my feet, I almost forgot how good it felt. TY TY TY to the elf that sent the shoes, lotion and life savors. TY TY TY to the elf that sent me the socks, they are so comfy and the lotion is awesome! Dear Santa and FLBYU elves,
Thank you so very much!! On Christmas day my husband and I were blessed with the news that we are expecting our 2nd child! We are very excited for our daughter to be a big sister! I wrote in my original letter to you about how much we love to take photos of her and of us as a family and how I'd really love to be able to print them from my home computer, but my printer is not high-quality enough to print nice photos. Well, someone there blessed us with a Lexmark printer that has been WONDERFUL for printing our pictures! Thank you so much! Our photo albums are filling and I've got a ton of photos to use in our scrapbooks now!! I sincerely appreciate the time, effort and money involved in 'adopting' me and the other gals from this board/group and I truly hope that I will be in the position next year to become one of Anjie's elves so that I can do something this nice for another member! Thanks again so much and I'm sorry it's taken so! long to write my thank you. I've been sick with the pregnancy, bronchitis and a cold and just don't feel very well. Thanks again!!!

I can not believe how caring people can be. For Christmas this year I
had not one but two beautiful caring elves. I had two presents to open
on Christmas morning. One was a CD player and one was a tape player so
that I can not only listen to my books on tape while hand sewing but was
just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 days before Christmas and
given some new exercises to do to music and the CD player will allow me
to do that also. THANK YOU BOTH A MILLION TIMES OVER. You have no idea
how happy you have made me. So far I have completed a 5x7 cross stitch
kitten for my daughter and a "good luck" piece for my son's Oriental
girlfriend's new home. The batteries and the candles made everything so
much brighter and easier.
May God bless both of you and give back to you a thousandfold what you
gave to me. I am still glowing with happiness.

Hi Santa & Elves,
My thank you is very late and I sincerely apologize. It seems that the flu is making the rounds in our area.
Anyway, I wanted to send a great big thanks to all of the elves that sent gifts to me and my son - it was absolutely overwhelming and it made us feel
so good that people were thinking of us! I didn't think it was possible to make Christmas great
this year without my husband - but the elves sure gave it an incredible try! I received beautiful flowers, body products,
stunning handmade jewelry, inspirational books, a snuggly throw, cards with wonderful messages, a toy for my son,
and believe it or not, a magic wand - which I'll have to admit, made me laugh out loud when I opened it. It felt really good to laugh.
Again, I sincerely apologize for not getting this to you sooner. But, I do want to thank each and every elf for what they did for us. I'll be sponsoring someone else next year so that I can pass on how good it felt to be really thought of.

Dear Anjie,
I am sorry I have been unable to write to you
before now. Due to a serious medical condition, I was
hospitalized on Christmas day, and have been in
recovery for the past few weeks. I did receive a
package from a very special elf just prior to
Christmas, but I was good and waited until Christmas
morning to open it. This elf is from Boynton Beach
Florida, and has a heart of gold. She sent me a new
pair of flannel pajamas with matching slippers, a new
robe (heavenly soft), a sweet little bath pillow set
from Bath and Body Works that also included a cute
little pink rubber ducky and delicious smelling bubble
bath. She also included a new set of flannel sheets. I
have practically lived in the pajamas, slippers and
robe these past weeks, and now for my first night back
home, I can't wait to try the bath items and the new
sheets are on now on my bed. But there is more.
Today, just after I arrived home, my postal carrier
came by with another package! Yes, I was blessed with
another wonderful elf with a golden heart. This elf is
in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The package was
postmarked December 15, so I am assuming that it was
lost in the mail, but I see that as a blessing. It was
a perfect ending to my first day home. Inside this
package, I received another set of flannel pajamas,
WOW! I was thrilled when I saw them, so soft and
cozy, I loved them. Also, there was the best smelling
candle inside, it actually made me hungry it smelled
so good. And I just cannot wait to start reading the
books she included in the package. I will be feeling
so spoiled tonight with all of the wonderful new
things I have received.
Anjie, I have been attempting to write this note to
you for several hours now, and keep erasing and
starting over. I just cannot seem to express my
feelings with words, each time I read over what I have
written, it just isn't adequate enough to tell you
just how appreciative I am for all that my elves and
you have done for me. Just know that I have been
touched a thousand times greater by their gestures
than what my words are conveying. I am not an overly
emotional person, but I cannot seem to stop crying
when I think of all that these people who do not even
know me, have done for me. It is something that just
cannot be expressed with words. I know there will be a
special reward for you and all of your elves in
Heaven, and I will never forget how you and those two
special elves touched my life this Christmas.
I am sorry to keep rambling on like this, there is
really so much more that I would like to say, but I
know how busy you are, so I'll just finish with saying
again how very special you and all of FreelanceByU
