OPERATION SANTA I just wanted to tell the the elf in California who sent the Creative Memories things that I got it and I loved it. I was so shocked when I went to the post office to get it because I thought I was picking up a package from my sister. Thank you so much I loved everything. Bobbi Dear Anjie and SANTA,
Hi Anjie, OH MY, OH
MY.. I can't believe it ! A few days after Christmas I got a notice in
my mail from "the boxman" saying there was a package waiting for me
from Santa Claus (postmarked Shelbyville, KY.. who knew?) My daughter
was here at the time and we went to UPS and brought home a HUGE box. When I
opened it.. there was the printer that I had asked Santa for in my Christmas
wish letter !! Now I am doing the happy dance because I can print out
all those coupons and rebates! Anjie, my "secret santa" ..
with the true spirit of Christmas in her heart...cared enough to grant me.. a
total stranger...my Christmas wish. Now THAT'S my Christmas miracle! THANK
YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Laurie
I
BELIEVE IN SANTA! I got back home on Saturday and there was a box for me from
Santa. It was the Can Opener I had said I wanted. (May I add, it
was very timely as I was about to throw the one I was using out the door since
it had a mind of it's own. It worked when it wanted to.) I wish to
sincerely thank Santa's helper in CA. Next year I want to be a
Santa helper also. Again thanks so much! JANIE in VA!
Hi and
Happy New Year Angie, I just wanted to let you know that I returned home
from visiting my family and
opened a package from a "secret Santa". I was tickled pink to open it up and see such a beautiful card and a VERY nice knife set and if that was enough to spoil me, I opened ANOTHER package and couldn't believe that there was a present of cooking oils from you. I don't know where you get your energy everyday to do what you do. I look forward to reading your newsletters like a letter from a old friend. It keeps me company, especially late a night( or early in the morning) when I can't sleep. I get a kick out of reading all the contributions and a thrill when I get a good deal, but most of all you are an inspiration. Thank you so very much to you and to my other secret Santa. You both touched my heart with your generosity. I hope that my small elf gift gave a smile and warmth to my recipient as you both have given to me. Thanks for thinking of me and for always answering my emails when I have questions or looking for discounts. Have a great year and I will be speaking to you soon. hugs, Karen OH MY, OH MY.. This project sounds wonderful.
I missed out on it because of my broken wrist but plan to participate as an
elf next year for sure. How fulfilling and rewarding to anonymously make
someone's Christmas extra special! This is certainly a gift of love!
You are great and made many many people happy this Christmas! I had to have
surgery on wrist Dec. 26th. They rebroke it, reset it, put in 3 pins and
recast it. So I'm back to the pain pill routine.(it's hard enough to
type left handed without being loopy from pain pills too! lol). This
will rabk right up there as a Christmas to Remember! LOL Just wanted to let
you know how much I enjoyed reading all the Santa Elves stories! Sloan
(learning to be left handed)
Hi Anjie! You are an ANGEL!!! The
mailman just rang my doorbell with a package just for me! Inside was a
gel wrist rest for my computer. Thank you so much!! I do not have
one, and I really need it with my carpal tunnel problems. What a
surprise! You are so thoughtful! Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Kim

Anjie, I've been on your address book for
some time now and really enjoy checking out a lot of the deals you and the
other folks post on your site. I did want to comment though on the
wonderful job you and your "elfs" did by posting the santa list.
I only wish I would have taken the time to read and respond to a few of the
requests. Several weeks ago my wife & I attended a concert at our
local "old tyme" theatre. While there the emcee announced
that the folks from Angle Tree were in the lobby with their tree.. During
intermission I went tot he lobby and selected the names of two children.
Turns out these kid's dads are all in prison and would more than likely
do without Christmas gifts if it were not for the Angle Tree Ministries.
When my wife delivered the gifts we purchased for "our" kids she
was overwhelmed by the tons of gifts that were purchased for the other kids.
I'm telling you this because I think it is wonderful to share our blessings
with those who need it. My wife Mary & I really felt good about
helping a child and like to keep that feeling going as much as we can.
I you learn about folks who are legitimate and do need help throughout the
year, please post it because I think others like myself would like to help
these folks all year long and not just at Christmas. God Bless You for
helping us to help others!
Dear Anjie and my wonderful Santa. I'm sorry I am writing
after Christmas..but I was just able to find my Christmas present. I went to
the local SPCA's and save-a-pet and adopt-a-pet and was unable to find a
smaller dog..which is what I needed. But, today I found and picked up my new
family. I had wanted a female...but Max is a beauty. Max is a cocker
spaniel..I named him Max after the Grinch's dog. I have to work the next few
days..but, I hope to send you a pic of him Saturday..Sunday at the latest. I
truely never dreamed I would have a new family member for Christmas. I am
still crying thinking of the unbelievable kindness of you and my Santa. I
would like to personally thank her..but I can't make out her whole name or
addy. I would like her e-mail if I could have it so I can thank her. The
world in which we live is a sad place today..but, there is still hope
because of wonderful people like you and my Santa. This is the best
Christmas present I have ever recieved..and it awes me to think it came from
someone I didn't even know. I know thank you is not enough..but I don't know
what else to say. Bless you, Sharon and Max
PS Max is not a pup he is 1 and a half so I hope I can make his life better
too.
Dear Santa Anjie, I want to thank your FLE
(free lance elf) for the wonderful CD player that I received today!
It's beautiful and I love it! It was so nice of you and your elves to
do such a wonderful thing for so many people. It was so much fun to
receive a surprise gift from your FLE of Powhatan, VA. I am so
happy to have this CD player, just for me. It even came with a car kit
so that I can use it in the car. I am so excited and grateful! Please
thank this very kind and generous person for me. I am so proud to be a
member of your group of freelancers. They are the best! Ginny
Dear Elves, Thank you so much for sending me such lovely, big hearted, touching gifts. It did my heart good to see that people still do care about one another. May God richly bless you! Mary R. Anjie, A few
weeks ago I was feeling very down & depressed when I came across your
request for "letters to Santa" and I wrote asking Santa to bring
me a purpose in life. I didnt know you were going to post them or I
might not of done it.....and I certainly never expected to get anything!!!
I have some wonderful people I want to thank...... First a HUGE
heartfelt thank you to Santa!! I was in total shock when I opened a box from
B & N ( I was expecting something for the kids anyway) & found 2
gold wrapped packages....for me!!! Santa you will never know how you
made my day. Nora Roberts in one of my fav. authors , and the journal
is just sooooo what I needed. I absolutely love it!!!!!!!
And I will cherish it!!!
SO CUTE;;;;;;
Dear Anjii:
I received the most awesome cartridge ink, in
the mail the other day.....Santa was so gracious !!!!!
Could you tell him, thank you------from the
bottom of my heart.
I'm going to try and fill the cartridges in a
little bit. No words can say thank you enough.....
And, I also received instructions for some
preemie clothes....gads, does this get any better ??????????/
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...........
PS. A week before Thanksgiving, I went on a
surprise trip to Florida and my friends stopped into a Shoney's in Maryland.
I asked the waitress if she knew any of the Freelance group but, she said no.
I sure wish that I had been able to meet all of
you.
Well, keep up the awesome work that you are all
doing.
I love love love your site...........

Dear Santa,
I would like to thank you so much for the
beautiful pajamas. We were out of town during Christmas and I was so
surprised to see a package waiting for me in my mailbox when we got home.
It is greatly appreciated!!
Susan
WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO...... today, I got a call from my neighbor, she said that the
mailman had left a package at her house for me, ( our driveway is snowcovered),
and that is was from SANTA I drove up and got it, and inside was the most beautiful throw pillow, it is
off white, and has chinese script with lovely green leafy looking borders. The
card said it was handmade by my santa...... I have never been so touched. What a thoughtful person. I want to thank them
from the bottom of my heart for taking the time, and effort involved, to make my
christmas brighter. I will cherish this gift always How did you know I like chinese stuff.... have you been peeking in my windows??? hehehehehehe..... Just want you to know, how much I appreciate your gift, and hope I can someday return the favor to you. Love to you, Kristean Thompson
Imagine my surprise when I received a package containing a
lovely baby doll from "Santa". The following day, I received
another package, from Jaime in California that contained a large stuffed
Tigger, a matchbox car, a key rattle, and a candle. I almost feel guilty
receiving these gifts.......When I entered your Santa contest, I thought it
was your normal contest and immediately replied "I want a new car".
Well, the doll was truly something all girls ask Santa for. The second
package was obviously in reference to the new car - I know have a "Tigger"
in my tank, new keys, and a shiny new miniature car. Guess the candle is
an added plus to make sure I keep the nice new smell!!!
I don't remember ever believing in Santa as a child (my
two older brothers were always quick to share anything new they learned with
me). I can now say "I believe in Santa". What a
wonderful Christmas surprise!!!!!!!!
hello. i just wanted to thank u from the bottom of my heart for contacting the lebanon -jimmy floyd fitness center and trying to get me a free membership. i was sooooo surprised when i received in the mail-(as u probably know)-tim hill was able to send me a 10 visit pass. that is so wonderful!!! this will at least give me a chance to go try it out and then i should have the extra money saved up to buy a 1 year family membership in jan or feb. i think my 4 yr old little boy-tyler-will love going swimming there in the winter-it still gets so cold here in the winter here in tennessee. what is so ironic-tim hill was our neighbor(for a couple years). we just sold our new house 4 months ago-because we want to move to florida within the next 1-2 yrs. for the warmer weather- and tim and his family lived a couple lots down from us :) what a small world-and i didnt know he worked for jimmy floyd center. him & his wife, debbie, and kids are such great people. THANK YOU again for this wonderful christmas present and for being such a thoughtful and caring "angel" among us. it is truly inspiring to be reminded that there are still people who truly enjoy enriching others lives by simply giving their time and energy and love-and that is the best kind of present to give :) Thank you again from myself and my family
love-the andersons-sheila, paul, and tyler About 1 week ago I entered one of your contest for the greatest
thing I could recieve from Santa,so I typed the first thing that came to my
mind.Today I went outside on the front porch and couldn't believe my
eyes...there was a big box laying at my feet addressed to me, return
address:Santa The North Pole.I brought it inside and opened it up and in that
box were several goodies...see recently I lost my home and my job and had to
move back in with my parents.(I packed everything I could get into an overnight
bag for myself and little girl which wasnt much,i cant really afford to buy lots
of presents for my baby this christmas since i maxed out my credit cards before
she was born)there was the cutiest barbie toy,a great robe, movie, and a little
chart so i can see how much she has grown! Sje grabbed that toy up and took off!
That just made my day! I just wanted to say Thank You! to the generous heart
that sent those presents,i could have cried.I'm truly astonished at how gene! Dear Anjie:
I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO MY SECRET SANTA FROM
VIRGINIA.
IT MADE ME CRY THINKING THAT
SOMEONE I DON'T EVEN KNOW COULD MAKE MY DAY. WORDS
CAN NOT DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL. I WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I
WILL WEAR THEM AND ALWAYS THINK THERE IS AN ANGEL OUT THERE WATCHING AND
HELPING ME GET THROUGH THE DAY.
I ALSO WANTED TO SAY ON FRIDAY I PRINTED OUT SOME
COUPONS FOR TARGET SODA AND WALKED AROUND PASSING THEM OUT TO THE PERSON
RINGING THE BELL OUT SIDE, TO AN OLD GENTLEMAN RESTING WITH A WALKER ,TO THE
CASHIERS GETTING A LITTLE STRESSED, TO THE PERSON PULLING OUT HIS HAIR IN THE
TOY DEPT. IT MADE MY DAY AND ALSO THEIR.
THANK YOU CAROLINA FROM NJ.

ELEGANT)
Dear Mrs. Santa,
WoooooHooooo! The mail man made me very happy. I
got a Christmas gift from my secret pal and from a freelance elf how great was
that. Thank You. I also got my phone cards from mypoints.com.
wooooohoooo. Bobbi
Hi ANjie,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU
to Santa! My husband (and kids) looked at me like I'd grown a 2nd head
when the mail lady came up the driveway with a pkg. for me from Santa!
They just didn't understand the excitement aver a "Paper Cutter"!
What they really didn't get was how much fun this was for me just to play an
"Elf" much less actually get something back! I had fun
shopping for and surprising someone else (just did a UPS track and should
arrive tomorrow!) so this was a bonus to get something myself! Thank you
again for all you do and to Whoever this great surprise came from! (Are
you the "Santa" And the rest of us elves?) Anyway, a Great BIG
Thankyou!!! Merry Christmas! :)
Brenda
Hi Anjie,
Thank you so much for the wonderful coffee set!
I never expected that! Your hard work makes everyone have so much fun.
I sent off that card making kit with some extras to Marie this past Friday
(may not make it for Christmas but will be a nice after Christmas surprise).
I was very surprized when the UPS man ran up on the porch and handed me a
gift! Thank you again for making my day!
Michelle
Dear Secret Pal,
Wow, I got my special gift from you. I was so excited -- With everything going
on with you, having to move right before Christmas - you found time to think
of me -- I truly thank you. You must have been some ones secret pal in another
lifetime as you're just perfect at it!!!
I'm sending a copy of this to Anjie, so she'll know how happy and proud, my
secret pal made me feel.
Merry, Merry
Susie
Went to my mailbox yesterday, to find the nicest surprise ever. Opened the box, and here was a bottle of "Happy" and the cutest Christmas card, from a woman named Kathryn who played one of your elves. It was soooo nice of her to think of me. I haven't been having very "happy" days lately as our dearly loved Boston Terrier passed away this week. But when I opened that box, a "happy" face took over and made my day! Hope the person I played elf to likes her present too! It feels so good when you can make someone "happy" with a kind gesture, be it big or small. Hope everyone has a "HAPPY" Christmas!!! Tami <- - -with a "happy' smile on her face!
To My Secret Santa (Roseann),
I can't tell you how surprised I
was when I opened the mail yesterday and received your card. My eyes
started swelling up with tears when I read your card. My 12 year old
daughter was almost as excited as I was. My husband was unaware
that I had written the note to Santa so he was very surprised when it
came--more than anything else, that someone (you) would give to someone that
they don't even know. Thank you so much for the Gift Card. I will definitely
take it to KMart and get those house shoes to keep my feet warm.
I'll really need them this week when the weather cools down.
Thank you again and I pray that
your Christmas is a very joyful one---you acted on what the true spirit of the
season is all about!!
Merry Christmas!
LouAnn

hi. i just wanted to write, once again, because a very considerate "santa"
sent me such a sweet christmas card. it mentioned inside that they wished me
a lifetime of good health and enclosed a pretty cloth, handstamped oriental
bookmark with the symbols for good health and eternity. i just wish i could
personally thank them for such a sweet act of kindness!! this card really
made my day and reminds us what christmas is truly about :)
thank you so much-whom ever sent this to me and thank you anjie for
starting up this wonderful, inspirational idea to spread happiness and

Dear Anjie, I'm so excited! On Christmas eve the
mailman pulled up and left a VERY big box on my porch. I had my yearly
Christmas cold and was taking a nap when my hubby ran upstairs and said there
was something for me and I had better come see. I pulled this very heavy box
in the house and excitedly opened it to find a beautiful sewing machine with
an accessory kit and a button holer!!!!! What an awsome gift!!!!! I was so
excited, my aunt and her family are staying with me for the holidays and she
just couldn't believe it either. She has always believed in the "spirit" of
Christmas and just smiled that I knew it smile and made me share this story
with everyone in the family! Santa's elves in Beltsville, Maryland are just
so wonderful and generous. That must have been one expensive item to mail!!!
Thank you so much! I waited at Joann fabrics for 45 minutes to get the 75%
off fabric so I could do some experimenting with some christmas vests. They
also had 11 dollar patterns for 99 cents today so I am all set to give it a go
with the sewing machine! Thank you so much for your site and thank YOU so
much santa in Maryland!!! I couldn't have asked for a better christmas
present! Michelle D
Anjie, I cannot believe the amount of people you had in on this. I was
one of your
elves, and I truly enjoyed doing that, and hope to do it again with you next year, I will do more. But, the shocking part was that I needed a new printer, and Santa sent it to me. Then the next day, I got a big Santa Claus Snoopy. The next day I got a Woodstock pin from one person and a Snoopy book from another. People are so gracious this time of year, aren't they. I truly wanted to just help. I did not know that I would be receiving anything so I was shocked. Thank you to each one of you that not only sent items to me, but to everyone that could do something for someone else to make them feel special this time of year regardless of circumstances. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Katie (twin mom)

Hi Angie, I'm sorry for not writing
sooner, but everytime
I sat down to write........I could not keep the tears
from my eyes. In order for you to truly understand how very touching
it was for me to receive a gift from "Santa", you would have to know me
and know the type of person I am.
I celebrated my 52nd birthday in November and all of my life I have been
the type of person to give
and never take. I went through two terrible marriages and just gave them
everything, money.....house.....furniture...etc, just to start over and be
happy. I'm always doing little things for people, like
buying little gifts for someone at work and not letting them know where it
came from. Or sitting
something on my neighbors doorstep for them. I am married for the third
time now and it is a match
made in heaven.......FINALLY, but it has taken me away from my two grown
daughters and my
four grandsons, for now I'm in Iowa and they remain in Pittsburgh, PA.
Christmas has never been a real happy time for me, oh, I don't mean that
I'm a scrooge or anything......I LOVE buying and giving to people.....but
emotionally
it has just never been a "good" holiday. So when you ask people to send a
Xmas wish, it caught me at a time when I was feeling sorry for myself,
which I don't indulge myself that at all, and I wrote my wish about not
being with the grandkids for 5 Christmas'. I then immediately felt VERY
bad and guilty because I didn't offer to be an elf. In October I had foot
surgery and had to be off work a couple weeks (without pay) and then in
November hubby was off a couple weeks from an illness (without pay) and I
just could not seem to get caught up so I passed on the elf......which is
not my normally my trait. So here I am........the person that is ALWAYS
giving.....
and when I get home from work on Tuesday.....lo & behold, there is a box
for me sitting on my kitchen table.
A webcam so that we can send pics back to the kids...... since I could not
be with them.........do you even
know how long it took for me to stop crying. My husband was so worried
that I was going to make
myself sick over this......... I just want to say "Thank you
Santa......thank you Santa's elves......and THANK YOU ANGIE" from the
bottom of my heart. I sincerely enjoy your daily newsletters and what
you do for us Freelancers.
But receiving that gift was above and beyond the call of duty and I will
NEVA forget it or the kindness
that I thought had been lost in this crazy world today. May you & your
family have a VERY PROSPEROUS 2003.
Suzanne Hundley
Hi Anjie! I was so excited when I went
to the mailbox last night about 11:30, somewhere in between putting
together my 2-year olds McDonald's Drive-Thru Center and Art Easel.
Anyway, inside the box was a card addressed just to me from Santa!!! I
had asked Santa for the stitches in my hand from my carpal tunnel surgery
to be out by Christmas Eve, so I could help my husband put together the
toys. The card was a wish to me for "eternal health" with the most
gorgeous bookmark I have ever seen on the inside just for me! I want to
say THANK YOU SO MUCH to my most FAVORITE Santa in Fayetteville, North
Carolina!! You haved TRULY touched my Christmas!! This is one card I
will keep forever!! Happy Holidays!! Kim
Today I received a package
A Happy New 2003 Year!!!
PART I:
Christmas came a day early at my house. My mailman brought
me 2 packages from santa in Va, and an envelope from Patti
in Pa. I didn't know when I entered a contest that it
would turn out so exciting. I will have so much fun making
my cards with all my new props to use. I want to thank
Santa and his elves for making my day a special one. I
also got a box from my Secret Pal with such beautiful
gifts.
Freelancers are such a wonderful, loving, caring family.
I am so happy to be part of that family and to be able to
send as well as receive the love we all share. Thanks
from the bottom of my heart. I love all of you and wish a
Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year
to each of you.

second one arrived. Thank you so very much! ELLEN in VERMONT
Hi Angie....I wanted to thank you for publishing my Christmas wish
letter....I received what I refer to as the down payment on new tires
for my car....I've got a long way to go, but Sharon M from the Town of
Niagra, NY showed me just how wonderful people can be....My thoughts and
prayers will be with her and you on a daily basis....I can't begin to
tell you how I felt when I opened the envelope and found a beautiful
note and a $20 money order....I only wish now that next year, I can be
an elf and grant someone's wish....~hugs....Deb
This is kind of funny. I received a
card in the mail a couple of days ago signed by Mrs. Santa with a
bookmark in it. Came postmarked from Fayetteville, NC and from Mrs.
Santa on the outside of the envelope. I had forgotten all about this
Santa list. Didn't really expect any reply on this at all. My husband
asked me if I was sure this was a safe card and nothing contaminated on
it. I use to live in Fayetteville and though someone was playing a
secret joke on me. So we sealed it in a plastic envelope. So today
I receive a package from Santa with a lime green 12' x 1/2" Tape
Measure in it. I showed it to my husband and he asked me not to open
any more suspicious packages. Then now I read your newsletter and know
exactly why I received these gifts. I was surprised that I received
anything and really want to thank the people that took the time to and
effort and spent money on postage to send this to me. That was sooooo
thoughtful. We have helped out a needy family and I have taken a
couple of names off Angel trees to have someone have a merrier
Christmas. And now this has come back to me, too. This is sooooo
nice. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. As always, Ilona
