There are many ways to save money............with a little thought, effort and patience one can create a nice savings account, invest, enjoy a few luxuries or just make ends meet. What ever your situation is there are ways to SAVE.
Credit Cards: not everyone has GREAT credit and therefore not EVERYONE has a credit card. If you are one of those that are fortunate enough to have good credit. USE THIS TO YOUR BENEFIT! ONLY get credit cards that have no annual fee. If you carry a balance on your cc then MOVE that balance around to take advantage of the BEST interest rates (transferring your balance) regularly. Some times a transfer will buy you a free month...............just pay one cc with another FULL AMOUNT and the new balance will not be due until the next billing cycle.........if you get a FREE MONTH then PAY ANOTHER BILL OFF (if possible) OR apply your FREE MONTH to the next months bill to reduce your principle. ALWAYS PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE IF POSSIBLE to avoid interest, late charges and other expensive service charges. A trick I learned (when I carried a balance) was to CONCENTRATE on one bill at a time and if possible make this YOUR HIGHEST INTEREST CARD. NOW, if you do not have SELF CONTROL ...........cc can be a DRAMATIC and COSTLY experience. If you are WISE you can make money from your cc's! :)
FOR THE WISE ONES: CHARGE YOUR REGULAR BILLS to your credit card when possible...........and write an imaginary check for this amount in your CHECKBOOK.........Charge EVERYTHING YOU CAN.......this accomplishes several things........you get to EARN INTEREST ON YOUR MONEY IN THE BANK (get an interest bearing account) AND PAY AS LATE AS POSSIBLE ONLINE with your checking account. This saves you a stamp, insures prompt payment, earns interest on your money in the bank, saves the cost of a check (buy them online DEALS ONLY) and if you have a CC that earns rebates and/or points gets you FREE CASH and GIFTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sign up for multiple CC that earn STUFF for you and you can alternate or direct all charges to one card at a time! CURRENTLY I am charging to my NEXTCARD which earns points for AMAZON GC...........Yesterday I received a SHARPER IMAGE $50 GC from another card and I have a TRU and BARNES & NOBLE card that do the same thing! I also have a BLUE AMEX (RIGHT NOW HAS 0% financing plus FREEBIESAND GC w/ purchases)that earns points and DISCOVER earns rebates. I just love my free STUFF I get from my credit cards and I do NOTHING SPECIAL to get GREAT STUFF!
LIMITED, EXPRESS, STRUCTURE all have CC that you should sign up for! These stores regulary send out FREE GC for their stores that can reap you GREAT STUFF at low cost or FREE! I esp. like the STRUCTURE DEALS ........I have been able to get free watches, bookbags, boxers, belts and even some clearance items free with any store purchase charged to your card...........buy SOCKS get GREAT GIFTS for free!
FOR THOSE LOOKING TO GET GOOD CREDIT ie: credit cards Sign up for a DEPARTMENT CARD .........such as SEARS or JCPENNEYS they seem to be relatively easy to get a low limit CARD and earns you GOOD CREDIT so that you may later enjoy the BIG REWARDS! SEARS has wonderful $5.00 off ANY purchase they send out regularly and don't forget the WISHBOOK they send out at Christmas, kids love flipping through the pages............ My Great Aunt used to make paperdolls with me cut from this type of catalog. After you have established credit with these companies they will inevitably raise your limit. After a year you could prolly get a VISA or MC easily if you carry a balance for at least 4 months and ALWAYS pay on time! BE CAREFUL TO DO THIS!
If you are unable to secure a credit card mentioned above........get a SECURED credit card from the bank or a DEBIT card. The secured cc .........establishes credit and ensures you SAVE money in the bank while it is secured..........the DEBIT card allows you to make purchases online where it asks for a CREDIT CARD. You can also sign up at ECOUNT or FATSHOE to fund accounts that give you a CC number to use online............. ONLINE DEALS.............save you money and time.........buy the DEALZ only .......and take advantage of CLEARANCE - OUTLETS - FREE SHIPPING - GIFTCERTIFICATES and ONLINE COUPONS to get the very best dealz and access to shopping that you would otherwise not have! REMEMBER THE DAYS when you had to travel out of state to take advantage of stores and products that were not available in your area? NOW YOU CAN SHOP WORLDWIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is what is meant by a GLOBAL economy! I have increasingly shopped the net and last year I didn't have to FIGHT THE MALL SHOPPERS ........not even once.........at Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
