OMG........I just cannot believe how much money we are saving! I have only been a freelancer now for 3 months and see so much extra money in our checking account that we will be able to take a VACATION for the first time in 5 years!   I have been following Anjie's advice, entering contests, getting freebies, doing the deals, getting free after rebates, and using coupons at the grocery store.  All of that has helped me not to pay too much for gifts, no spur of the moment REGULAR priced items I will "neva" pay full price again!  The grocery savings alone (I read the $30 a week article and adapted to my family) now spending about $50 a week instead of $100-$125, has helped.  I also have been reselling my Free After Rebate items at flea market for 1/2 retail.  NOW the best news is that yesterday we got a check for $500 from anjie's free money page!  I cannot believe it!  It cost us nothing to do this and WE HAVE FREE MONEY.   I was always one of those people in the past who thought there was a catch to everything BUT NOT NOW!   My daughters all get CLOSE TO FREE magazines now instead of them paying full price I buy them for them for PENNIES, my husband gets several ABSOLUTELY free publications that we were paying $30-$40 a year total for, now X'D off our budget.  I have even won a few small prizes and looking forward to more.  If you don't do EVERYTHING in the BYU TIMES you are missing out.  BTW my first mystery shop was a WENDYS fast food and we got FREE LUNCH plus a little extra money there!   I also won $50 for doing a survey, how cool is that?  I could go on and on, but I just wanted to let any newbies know that they are in GOOD HANDS with ANJIE!  THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO, YOU CHANGED MY LIFE  anjie note: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS and synopsis!  WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU GO GIRLY IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY AND WELCOME TO ANJIES WORLD!

Anjie, I wanted to let you know that what you have here is a "Good Thing." I have been web surfing & looking into other Free sites that are some what like yours. Ok they are nothing like yours but heck I went looking anyhow and this is my opinion on what I have found.

Just to name a few.
 
1.)They don't have the friendly touch that y'all do.
2.)They don't have the family/friends like y'all do.
3.)If you enter a contest or anything else you have to go through all kinds a bull just to get your name on the page.
4.) then once you actually get to enter the contest they want you to enter more. & PAY FULL PRICE!! Humm that's just CRAZY!!!! 
5.)They just don't have it all together; missing links here and there.
6.) Basically it is just boring to look around and one thing all the other sites have in common is they all looks the same.
 
I wanted to thank you for having a site that I enjoy looking at & reading in ever email that I receive. I really enjoy looking up on what is going on, reading the stories & emails from fellow Freelancers, taken the time to enter contest & free stuff (even though I have yet to win something great). It is a real joy to see the impact you have made on different lives out in the freelancer world. It's special to know that in here we can friendship with out the worries that ohh gosh what will they think of my looks. That don't matter here 'cause in here we are all computers with masters that type & show us the way. Friendships are at times hard to find but, y'all make it easier. You & Marshal really did a great job. I think y'all should be told more often of this. Keep up the Great Job. Keep the ball rolling; so to say.

I just wanted to say thanks for all these great deals I have been getting. I got the leather chair deal and I got in on the Pfaltzgraff penny a plate sale (ordered the "Grapevine" plates) and then when I received it there was a coupon in the box.  I think it was called the Lucky Seven Sale.  Well, they had the dinnerware set ("Grapevine") that I have been wanting to get for over a year now, but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money (in the store near me they want 79.99 for a 4 piece place setting).  Anyway, my set was on sale for 59.99 a set (I ordered two) and then I used the coupon enclosed which knocked off another 27.00!!!!!  Total shipped was 108.00!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!  Was I ever happy!! Could have saved the 16.00 S&H charge though if I had a store near me!! :(   Oh well.

 

I also got a great deal from Amazon.com and their kitchen sale.  I bought a great square frying pan (supposedly retails at 95.00) and a chopper for 54.00 (didn't have to pay S&H) and then I will receive a 30.00 GC for buying over 50.00 in merchandise! 
 
AND--a few weeks ago I lucked out and hit Target on a day when they marked down a bunch of stuff 75% including Stanley tools (husband was happy!) and some really pretty outdoor thermometers! I was in heaven!! 
 

I have always been a clearance shopper ( thanks to my Mom, who's email address BTW is clearanceaisle.xxxx-if that doesn't tell you something right there!!) but you have only helped me to find even more deals, freebies, sample, etc.  out there that I never would have known about if it wasn't for your terrific newsletter!! 

.........thanks for the coupon code for buycostumes.com. The vest will be here Monday and my wedding will go off without a hitch on the 20th. ..............thanks once again to your wonderful daily newsletter I have been able to get everything for our wedding very cheap if not free. Without you I would have never been able to do it.

Just have to tell you how great you were on TV!!   I set the VCR to tape
the entire 2-hour> segment.  .  Now, here is the best part.    Last Monday
night we had Bible Study here at the house and before we could get into the
Bible Study, everyone had to watch the tape   I think our preacher was the
most impressed.  He kept saying that we needed to get you to come give us
spending lessons instead of having a Bible Study!!!  He was completely awed by the fact
that you got ALL THAT STUFF for just a few dollars!

By the way, I have gone to your website many times and have some of my friends hitting it now.  Our
mayor (who is a member of the Bible Study group) called me the day after
we watched  the tape to ask for your website and pulled it up while we
were on the phone.  He kept saying, "Okay, here is something I want to
check out" and "have you noticed this yet?".   I talked to him the other
day and he is still checking out things he found on the site.

I wrote to her after I saw the segment, and asked how long she had been saving up for that little shopping orgy -- THREE DAYS, y'all!  That's it!!  I almost fell out of the chair.  That's all the warning she had, and *still* was able to scare up that kind of savings.  If you have some discretionary income, Anjie can tell you how to make the most of it! Unfortunately I haven't been able to use her tips as much lately, due to a rapid and severe *decrease* in discretionary income :^O  (I know you know what I mean!)  I lost my job, and we have a lot of expenses for our dog, Ted, who was diagnosed with cancer almost a year ago.  Hey, a http://www.giftedlyoutspoken.com/ld/hh.php  vote for Ted as the Net's Cutest Spokesdog might help... nudge-wink, lol.  Otherwise, his daddy has to vote for him a couple of times a week to keep him from falling off the list!  Man can Anjie make Lincoln scream!  Go check out her site -- she has deals, techie advice, all kinds of stuff.  She also has a link to a streaming video of her segment, in case anybody missed it.

Did you see that they are doing a special 'Bargain Hunter' series on the Today show this week? I watched it this morning and they featured a woman who calls herself a 'savings specialist' (I love that!); they followed her around on her errands for the day... her retail today was something like 335.00 and she actually spent 16.72! This woman is my new idol!! I thought I was good when it came to deals and coupons, but I think I'm an amateur compared to this! I can't wait to see what other deals and freebies they show this week!

This is "Bargain Week" on the Today show and they featured a woman who made 10 stops and bought over $300 worth of merchandise for $16.   I loved her attitude - very upbeat and funny!  pssantry

I was very envys (sp) of the person on the today show. I use coupons and get at least one great deal a week to pass on to my friends and family. My friends and family call me the coupon lady but I am not as good as the person on the Today show. I need more lessons. Caryn34

Tell your embarrassed teenage daughters (both cute) that they WILL grow out of their intense desire to be popular by playing follow-the-leader.  When they do they'll realize that You are far more important to them than some fleeting sense of being "in" or belonging to the group that disdains what you do which is to do a damn good job of providing for them, loving them.

Just saw you on Today and wanted to let you know that I really do admire your kindness and skills on shopping. The shopping part is natural because everyone loves a freebie or a bargain but not many people will take the time to do it for shelters and services. Rarely, would one involve the children to render volunteer services because we live in such a materialistic society that we teach our children to start earning money at a very young age and a lot of it if the kid can. Your daughters are doing good work helping out at the children's care. Although you may think that the girls are getting in return two hours of free day care for you, I do not think that this concept really applies because all volunteers always get back something to please them short of hard cash on hand. Otherwise, we would not have volunteers abound in this country, we would only have barterers. Keep up the good work and encourage the girls to stay involved. Pat from Fairfield, CA.

I recently saw you on the Today Show and was quite impressed with the various strategies you use to save money.

hi, my name is Hamed and I'm from Ohio. I think what you do and the way you do it is totally awesome, especially after I saw you on the today's show. I have never seen such a smart bargain shopper, yet have such great taste!!!!! This year is my last year of high school and you know how money can be a problem (fees, college, tuition, prom, etc.) So if I go out and by clothes I need to be as good a bragain shopper as you. I do consider myself a good bargain shopper, but never have I got things almost for free. Can I still shop from my favorite stores (Dillards, gap, aeropastele, etc) and still pay very low. They are pretty expensive stores and by the time they have big sales their good and stylish clothes are gone. I really need your help and I don't want to burn my pocket, I'm still young and need money in my pocket. Please help and may God give you more power in doing what you do!!!!!!!!!!!!! -----------Thanks---------

I just finished watching you on the Today Show.  A woman after my own heart !!  I am a FIRM believer that you don't have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks (smile).  I consider myself to be a big bargain hunter!!  seasoned bargain hunter, but I don't hold a candle to you (hehe).  I can learn a few things from you!!  I agree, we are NOT cheap, just frugal, just smart shoppers!!   Why pay more money than you have too, right?!!  The money I save on the things I buy I can use for other (more) things...hehe.    So my hats off to you!!   Roz

Hello My name is Cheryl .... I own a small travel agency in Sanford Maine. I saw you on the today show today and when I came into the office this AM I had in mind to find a new printer online. I went to the staples site because that is where I normally go when I remembered your site. I stopped the order and by going through your site I found the greenpoints site and guess what I did. I earned greenpoints and am feeling quite smug about the whole thing.
